With a high-speed internet connection, it is now becoming possible to stream high quality video onto personal computers, hence to watch TV online. Several applications and web sites allow you do so.

Recommendation

JLC’s Internet TV viewer is a tool developed by a young programmer and we like it very much. The tool is simple and works very well. What made its success and power is that users can add, update and rate channels, so that the channel list is by now very large. Undesirable channels are filtered out however and the favourites feature makes it easy for you to focus on your favourite channels.

The same author has recently released a web-based version as well, which features the same comprehensive database of channels. Although heavily altered by the Google Ads, this web interface remains very useable.
