Background

Notes tools are utilities or more ambitious applications that allow you taking notes on your computer, laptop, phone, etc. Some are in the form of sticky notes on your desktop, notes organizers with search, sort and other features, some are simple text editors, some allow drag-and-dropping web pages, photos, videos, etc.

Recommendation

Evernote is the tool we recommend. It supports all sorts of useful features including photo and video support, drag and drop, email, twitter, etc. And most importantly in our view, it supports multiple platforms including most mobile OSs and allows synchronizing all your notes between your different equipments, by synching them onto the Evernote servers.
