Background

Sharing large files with others is often an issue, as they are too bug for an email, slow to transfer on IM, etc. Some tools have started to appear that address this need.

Recommendation

There are several such personal P2P (peer-to-peer) software tools that address this problem and all seem to be paid-for solutions with limited free alternatives, sometimes limited to private use. Pando offers the support for the largest size of files we found, includes a nice desktop tool to manage the file uploads and downloads whether for web, IM or email sharing, integrates very well with Outlook, and does accept commercial use from what we’ve seen.
